Repeated concussions, acute traumatic brain injury (TBI), exposure to blasts, and training related head injuries all correlate to increased difficulty with cognitive functions, memory, stress management, behavior change, social functioning and completing job related and routine tasks.
Treatment from a Speech-Language Pathologist through cognitive rehabilitation and symptomatic management can improve areas of deficit secondary to acquired head injuries. Holland Therapy Services offers both in-person and telehealth therapy modalities to support active duty and retired military personnel.
Early Intervention
Early Intervention services are geared towards providing service to infants, toddlers, and their families who have, or are at risk for, a developmental delay, disability, or health condition that may affect typical development and learning. (ASHA. 2023.)
School-Age and Adolescents
School-Age and Adolescents who need support from an SLP often require treatment that focuses on articulation, language, social communication, and fluency to help them become more effective and efficient communicators across all settings.
Adults & Geriatric
Adults and Geriatric clients may receive communication services to address cognition, voice, language, fluency, or swallow function after acquired injuries or conditions like stroke, brain tumor, vocal nodules, or traumatic brain injury.
